Random musings & Name thingy

So, in the last couple of days, I've received a number of emails in regards to the Endeavour stuff.  Most of said comments are of the "write more!" fashion, and its these that cause me (currently) no end of heartache.  I feel really bad about my absolute lack of production in regards to ... well ... anything.  It's as if my Muse simply packed up ( Read more... )

My first thought after reading your rant, "NOOOOOOOOOOO! HE'S ABANDONING THE PROJECT!" But after a moment of processing, I'm struck by how much your thoughts parallel my own in recent days. I too have stalled on two major writing projects. Not from lack of direction or even writer's block, but from overall disappointment, disillusionment and annoyance with the overall fandom and canon of the series my stories are based on ( ... )

You are a terrific writer!!! I visit here periodical hoping there would be something new from you.

Maybe the stall is because you're too busy right now. I, for instance, tend to focus, excluding everything else, on the things that I have to accomplish, cause I want to do them the best I can.

Yeah, I work a lot and I'm still single : )

Or maybe it's because you forgot why you started writing Endeavour? Or writing isn't as fun as it used to be?

I hope, really hope, your muse will get back to you or that you'll find what's missing.

Work consists of what a person is obliged to do. Remember? Fan fiction is supposed to be play. Something that you do for fun. Leave it alone if it isn't fun. It is supposed to be a form of recreation, not an obligation. Chill. Unwind. If and when you get around to it, you will finish it. But you will never finish it if you get to the point of dreading even thinking about it.
