Under Jane's hardened exterior is one hurt and lonely puppy. Love this story and really liked Jane's little self-awareness seeping in at the end of the chapter.

Thanks! As I said in the first chapter, it's ok to hate her because she hates herself, too. She is not in a good place.

Jane is a grade A asshole. I just needed to say it out loud. Her working Maura is like watching a nature special where the baby gazelle goes to the river for a drink of water and is 6 inches away from crocodile lunch.

I'm really interested to see where it goes from here. I wonder which comes first, Maura gaining some situational awareness or Jane lowering her douchenozzleness (it can be a word!).

Really like this story! Jane is an ass, but just one night with Maura and I can see the walls coming down. Even just for a bit.

Also, I love Jane's inner thoughts. Something about Jane saying (or thinking) "fuck" or any combination of it, is just so....hot.
