So i thought about doing this for picspammy like last week but decided against it. And then I woke up early, couldn't go back to sleep and now here i am. All necessary info for you guys! Basically thiis was clearly my favorite series growing up. I wanted to be Jessica Wakefield and then seriously wished I had an identical twin and all around was a huge fan and read like every spinoff of the series ever. And Diablo Cody is making a movie! So this is me calling out to her and casting her movie giving her suggestions!
Jessica Wakefield played by
Dianna Agron
Carefree, impulsive and outrageous, Jessica spends as little time on schoolwork as possible and is into cheerleading, partying, shopping, gossiping with her friends and scoping for guys at the beach and mall. She is always up to date with the latest fashions and spends a lot of her free time either on the phone gossiping or trying out new hairstyles. Her look, very much reflects her personality: 'Out to Impress' and to always be the center of everything that goes on. She is the twin who sets out to attract loads of male attention and favours to date around. Jessica is always diving into things headfirst without considering any of the possible consequences - and if Jessica ever ended up getting into any trouble, she almost always manages to wriggle out of it free and unscathed - often with the help of her more responsible sister.
I was going to just talk about my insane love for Jessica/Dianna here but I'll group my discussion of the twins together~
Elizabeth Wakefield played by...
Dianna Agron
Serious, responsible and reliable, Elizabeth is the older twin by four minutes. She is an outstandingly good student at school and enjoys reading, hanging out with friends & watching old movies in her spare time. Elizabeth plans to be a professional writer or journalist someday; forever practicing her craft through poetry and as a staff writer on the student newspaper faculty. Elizabeth is the more conservative of the two; favouring casual & comfortable clothing as well as prefering to have her hair swept back with barrettes or pulled back in to a ponytail. She is also one with the steady boyfriend - dating Basketball star (and Captain) Todd Wilkins, throughout most of the series.
Dianna will do it Lilo Parent Trap style of course! (or that disney movie with the Timberlake Model Behavior!) I was seriously considering just going with the twins from those Acuvue contact commercials (+that MTV modeling show) but they're probably like old now and Dianna is too gorgeous to pass up. I considered Blake Lively too but Dianna is literal perfection. And the twins were described as like the two most perfect blond specimen ever. So hello Dianna Agron!
Lila Folwer played by
Rachel Bilson
Wealthy, stylish and snobby, Lila is the only child of George Fowler - one of the richest men in all of California. Lila lives an extremely glamorous life at Fowler Crest: a magnificent Spanish-style mansion that she and her father reside in together with their housekeepers. Due to work commitments etc, - which sees her father traveling a lot because of it; Lila is normally overcompensated for this - by being showered with gifts and having an unlimited access of her fathers credit cards. Lila is also Jessica's best friend as well as her biggest rival. The two, have been highly competitive with each other since they were kids.
I didn't just pick her because Summer Roberts started out as a rich bitch or the fact that I just love Rachel Bilson. But Lila was totally a fierce HBIC but also veryyyy Gretchen Weiners (yes I was THIS close to making Lacey Chabert play her.) And Rachel Bilson is gorgeous and idk in my Sweet Valley Lila was shorter than them. I have no idea if this is legit or not. But it is now. Because Rachel is little. But still powerful and fierce. So yes. Done.
Todd Wilkins played by
Zac Efron
Tall, good-looking and athletic, Todd is an all-around nice guy. He is also captain of the basketball team and is Elizabeth's on-off boyfriend throughout most of the book series.
Oh Zefron. You had to make an apperance in the movie of high school aged children! I may provide a musical number just for him. Actually it may just be a recreation of the Bet On It dance. Anyway. I really couldn't decide on a Todd at all. Actually I feel like Zaquesha is much too attractive for Todd Wilkins but I'll let it slide. He was supposed to be attractive though. Just in my head he was def no Zac Efron. But who is really?
Enid Rollins played by
Michelle Trachtenberg
With her shoulder-length brown hair and large green eyes, Enid is very pretty, in her unique little quiet way as well as very smart and funny. Enid is Elizabeth's best friend in high school. At the age of 14 - she hung out with the wrong crowd - cutting school, goofing off and got herself involved in drugs. It took an accident (involving her then-boyfriend George Warren) to realize the error of her ways & mistakes in life. Enid is now, a much more focused person in life & is very loyal to her friends.
She was the last person I cast. There's no one I really wanted to play her. I still am not happy with the choice man. I actually made a whole thing with Kat Dennings and then changed my mind because i really don't think Kat Dennings is Enid Rollins. But neither is Michelle reallly. But she's so fierce its all good. Enid's so...whatever. (I'm sorry my bias for all things pertaining to Elizabeth are so slanted in a negative light. Its not completely intentional.)
Winston Egbert played by

A tall, skinny guy with a goofy and wacky sense of humor, Winston is known as the class clown in school. There’s never a dull moment whenever he's around he can and almost always makes people laugh. Winston is well-liked by just about everyone.
MCLOVIN. Michael Cera was close but he's getting a little overdone. And this kid SO looks like his name would be Winston. Lets be serious. And as I'm writing this I just realized I should have cast Dale from Greek. Ugh this is why you don't do things early in the morning...
Bruce Patman played by
Ed Westwick
Rich, handsome, spoilt and arrogant, Bruce Patman is used to getting what he wants, whether it be expensive things or dating girls. As an only son to one of the wealthiest families in Sweet Valley, Bruce likes to show off and flaunt his wealth, by having the latest range of expensive gadgets and driving a porsche with his trade-mark customised license plates "1Bruce1"
Ok this mayyy a little have been slanted by Chuck Bass. I GIVE. However, my insane love for Ed Westwick happens to fit perfectly with this role of the bitchy rich guy. And we know he's able to take a character from a book thats not a huge role and make it into everyone's my favorite character. So he cleary gets the job too! (Also Ed/Dianna? yes please!)
Ned Wakefield played by
Kyle Chandler
Mr. Wakefield is the father of the twins and Steven. He is a lawyer and has always been described as being tall, dark & handsome.
KYLE CHANDLERRRR. I love him. haha i love how thats really all i have to say. Its not like the parents ever really had dialogue or anything.
Alice Wakefield played by
Julie Bowen
Blond, slender and young-looking, Mrs. Wakefield is offten mistaken by strangers, as being the twins' older sister. She now runs a successful interior design firm in the Wakefields' hometown.
While I wish I could just pull out my go-to mother figure and cast Lauren Graham but unfortunately she's not blonde. And Julie Bowen is super pretty and seems very like put together. And like her name would be Alice. And she was an interior designer. I SEE IT.
Steven Wakefield played by
Scott Porter
The twins' older brother, Steven is highly protective of his sisters and despite the countless number of brother & sisterly tiffs they have all had throughout the years Steven has always retained a close bond witht them both. With his six foot one frame, dark brown hair and chocolate colored eyes, Steven is described to us as being the spitting image of his father Ned - when he was that age; Steven also aspires to become a lawyer someday.
I'm not really sure why I had such trouble casting their brother as I did but it proved very difficult. Cory Monteith, James Franco and even Jesse Mccartney(i just saw Keith for the first time leave me alone!) were all serious contenders at one point. But...I went with Scott Porter. And he may be a biiiit old but obvs franco would have been and even cory! so. basically yeah. And he kinda looks like kyle chandler? or people should connect them in their brains because of FNL maybe? Im grasping at straws here but i'm just going with it.
Obviously there are a ton more characters but I felt like these were the most important?(Although I considered putting some SVH:Senior Year people in here but I thought it might get too crowded. Also my photoshop is screwed up so any extreme problems with the pictures i'm blaming on that haha)
