Jayne and Lilly are taking up almost the entire couch in the lounge, mostly because Lilly got up for a glass of water and noticed that there were an awful lot of people around for ass-thirty in the morning and decided to wake Jayne up.
Jayne'd rather be back in his bunk, frankly. He's curled up in a sleepy ball with his head on Lilly's lap, trying to ignore all the impending goo.
"...Don't see why we gotta sit out here an' wait. C'n wait just fine in bed."
"No, you can't," Lilly says, with the air of someone who has pointed this out before. "You can sleep just fine in bed. Sleeping is not waiting and being supportive and all."
"Besides, considering how long it took me to wake you up this time, Naomi'd be having her first birthday before I got you up again."
"If you'd been in your bunk and gotten woken up by screaming you might have tried to shoot things," Lilly replies cheerfully.
"And speaking as one of the things that could have gotten shot," she continues, "I'm really much happier with us being awake and out here, away from the weapons."

The tone is highly sarcastic, but she strokes his hair gently enough.
"I could try to find coffee?"

Then, "Xiexie."

"Okay. I'll go find some kind of coffee. Don't fall asleep while I'm gone, but if you do I'll just wake you up again."
She nudges him gently.
"Now, move so I can get up."
