Tagging Tutorial
Welcome, new members!
We're thrilled you're here, and we're looking forward to hearing from you all here at rightandawesome. Here you'll find out everything you need to know about our tagging system so that you can navigate the community easily and make sure everyone else can find your posts as well! We've done our best to keep it as simple as possible, but please feel free to comment here (or if you'd prefer somewhere private, you can use our contact-a-mod post) with any questions. We don't have a links list, so everything is there in the tags.
We have 6 main tags - you can see the whole list on the right-hand-side. They are:
!comm: these tags will be used by the mods only and include official community posts, FAQs, tagging tutorials, twitter and fanfiction masterlist.
!members: here you'll find fanfiction and art challenges - and whatever else occurs to us - tutorials and the like. This tag is all about making your time here at rightandawesome a little more interesting and a little more fun! ;)
art & fanfic: anything that you create and post to the community should be tagged with an art tag. Fanfiction, gifs, fanmixes, icons - it doesn't matter what! This is the tag of pretty things. If you're writing a fanfiction, it should then also be tagged with a fanfic tag showing the pairing. A few things to note here:
- Please make sure you use both the art: fanfiction and the pairing tag. This means that all Arizona fics can be found under one tag easily.
- Pairing doesn't necessarily mean romantic pairing. If you're writing about Arizona and Derek's friendship, then it'd still go under the fanfic: arizona/derek tag.
- fanfic: arizona/original character should only be used when your own original character is a primary character in the fanfiction.
- fanfic: arizona/other character should be used for Shondaland characters that don't have their own tag, or crossovers with other shows, books or movies. For example, an Arizona/Maura Isles (Rizzoli & Isles) fanfiction would be tagged fanfic: arizona/other character.
ga: these are for (shocker) any Grey's Anatomy discussion pertaining to Arizona. These are pretty self-explanatory - spoilers should be tagged as such, except for sneak peeks because they have their very own tag ga: sneak peek. If you'd like to discuss anything about Arizona, ga: discussion is the tag to use.
jcap: if you've got some news regarding JCap (as opposed to Arizona), this is how you'd tag it.
- Please do not share JCap's tweets! We will post a roundup of all tweets pertaining to Arizona/JCap weekly. This includes tweets from Shonda, Jessica's husband Christopher, and any other Grey's cast members on twitter. If there's something really important, we mods will share it. Otherwise we will remove all tweet-related posts in an attempt to keep things manageable. Jessica's twitter is here.
And that's it! Please remember - just because something doesn't have a tag doesn't mean it's not welcome here. If something doesn't fit into a tag, leave it untagged. Either we'll fix it - and tell you which tag should be used - or we'll create a tag for it.
