Writer/Artist Check-In

Aug 22, 2011 07:00

I do believe all the art is assigned, so hopefully all the authors and artists have been in contact with each other over the last week or so and have their work in progress :)  We're approaching the end of August, which means we're approaching some pretty big deadlines, so I'd like to remind everyone to head over to the FAQ post to make sure that ( Read more... )

Sorry I didn't get back to you right away -- just letting you know that I and the writer have been in contact and we're both working on it. :) (The progress isn't great on my side though... *headdesk*)

No biggie, I'm just happy to hear from people at all :) And as long as you've been in contact and have some ideas going, I think all is well. Thanks!

My brain figured out how to work the fic and I got through my block over the weekend, so I'm moving right along again.

My only question is, how much of the fic do I have to have written for submitting the rough draft on the 26th? Because the 25th and 26th are right out for me in terms of writing -- yay wisdom teeth coming out! -- so the rough draft is going to have all the big parts to it, but not necessarily the few scenes in between to connect everything and make it flow.

I'm glad you got through the block!

As I'm not totally the official mod, I can't say for sure exactly how much should be submitted. However, usually in other big bangs I've seen, they ask for 80 percent of the fic to be written.

Now, given the size and scope of this Big Bang, I'm inclined to say we can be flexible--as long as you're pretty certain you're going to get it done on time. Does that sound reasonable to you?

Basically what Faye_darmouth said. I just want an indication that it's definitely going to be done - so something that shows the beginning/middle/end is all planned and mostly done is enough. I'm going to be extending the rough draft due date by two days, as everything else has happened after it was meant to.

Everything got to be a bit of a shambles :P

I have finally beaten RL into submission and am working madly on it. I WILL get this finished, even if it's absolute crap.

Rightio. Back to writing.
