First Fiary - Explorations [Open]

Nov 10, 2011 22:26

[It didn't take long for Link to get restless in New Shaleton. He decided that going out and exploring the area would be far more interesting and productive than just sitting around in town. He came out to a field which reminded him strongly of Hyrule Field back home, though this one was still very different. Large birds could be seen flying ( Read more... )

Do you have any idea what's in there?

[Satoshi normally wouldn't have been following someone he didn't know, but that was everyone right now and the fact that he'd heard that most of the Pokemon here were like him and not from this world meant there was good reason to think that the green Pokemon might not.]

[Link jumped. Despite his huge ears, he hadn't heard anyone behind him.]

No idea. Are you...not from around here either?

[Satoshi was a quiet moving person by nature.]

No, I'm not. It's not smart to enter unknown areas just because they're there.

You wouldn't happen to have been a human before, have you?

[Link looks back in the cave. He's very tempted.]

There might be something good in there. Or maybe there's a way I can back to Hyrule! I'm gonna find out.

[He walks on in, but looks back before going too deep.]

Are you coming?

[Oh...it looks like someone's going into that cave.]

Any particular reason you're going in there?

Just exploring, really. There might be something interesting in there, or maybe there's a way we can get home.

[Link takes a step towards the cave, but turns to look back.]

Coming?

[It's not like he has anything better to do. Nothing ventured, nothing gained.]

Certainly, if you don't mind the company.

Nope! It might be easier to find stuff with the two of us than if we went alone.

[Link heads on in...]

[ Link isn't the only one who got fed up with the locals restless mulling around. It was nice that New Shaleton was a peaceful town, but no clear answers were forthcoming from either the other new arrivals or native inhabitants, so Asch had struck out on his own.

But he wasn't foolish enough to venture far in alone, and while still inexperienced in fighting as a... whatever he was. That meant Asch went deep enough to reach complete darkness, a good place to practice his control over fire. Watch yourself, Link. ]

[Link trotted on into the dungeon. It was pretty quiet so far, but it smelled like there was a fire somewhere. Link had yet to catch sight of any fire though, and it was too dork to see much of anything. He continued on though. As long as he could still look back and see the light from the entrance, he should be ok, right?]

[ Asch might have had to fight with his bird form's instincts to avoid the dark, but it also meant his hearing was more acute. He could pick up the sound of footsteps even from this distance and paused to listen, quelling the fire he had been about to release.

...whatever was approaching had four legs. Or there was two creatures walking in time. Either way put Asch at a disadvantage, and the best course of action seemed to be facing them head-on. ]

Who's there?

[Link jumped. He hadn't expected anyone to be staying there.]

Uh, my name's Link. Where are you? [He's looking around now, but it's just too dark. Sure, there was a little light coming in from the door, but it wasn't enough to see very far.
