Lucky is walking down the street. He is preoccupied thinking about something unrelated. They've got cases to work on, and he doesn't even think about who is tapping him before he turns to look. She probably wants the time or directions.
"Of course you do! I'm Tegwen." Because telling someone who you after means that they knew you to begin with, right? She grins and bounces on the balls of her feet. She grabs his wrist and tugs him in the direction that she was walking.
"I think you have me confused with someone else," Lucky says though he isn't exactly moving away, and he makes no effort to pull from her hand as she tugs him forward. He walks along with her. Why not?
She doesn't look confused. He, on the other hand, looks like he doesn't know how to formulate words.
"Place like Chicago? ...yes? It doesn't seem all that loud to me, but I'm used to living here."
"Oh yeah? I guess I should be used to it by now, then, huh?" She looks back at him and grins as she continues to tug at him through crowds on the sidewalks.
"So what's your name?" She asks, not realizing that this completely blows her story about knowing him out of the water.
Jesse turns around, not sure who the hell is talking to him because his (now ex-)girlfriend is currently four states over and he doesn't really know that many girls in town.
And then there's this girl, and like hell Jesse actually knows her. He has a pretty good head for faces, and he doesn't recognize her at all.
"Uh, sorry miss," he says. "I think you've found the wrong guy." But there's a pause, because Jesse is a sucker for a pretty face and a damsel in distress is just his style.
"I can help you find someone, though," he says. "I'm from around here, you know." He just gets the feeling that she isn't.
"Really? You look like the right guy to me." Maybe because any guy can be the right guy at the moment. Teg looks left, then right, and finally back to the man in front of her.
"You are? Me too!" Or at least, she is now. "I live just over... Well, I'm sort of between places right now." All the while, she never loses that big grin.
Phoebe is not a fairy. She's her own brand of crazy. A tiny angel that's lost too many wards by now. Everywhere is nowhere and everything is nothing and she kind of lives in the in-betweens.
She will not startle at Tegwen's question.
"I've been wandering!" she answers, and she beams brightly at the other woman. "Where've you been?"
She can sense what she is, knows immediately and she puts a hand on the hilt of her knife.
"Have you now?" She smiles and it's a little wolfish. "Before you say any7thing else, you should know this city is mine. I've claimed it and started a knowe. Also,, I'm not very good at sharing so I advise you not to make me."
She's not saying you have to leave she's just saying that it's hers and that ought to be respected.

"Ooh! I haven't been wandering in ages!" Or, y'know, five minutes. "Can I wander with you?" She bounces a little, looking so excited at the prospect.
