This whole performance art/marketing/"terrorism" thing in Boston about Aqua Teen Hunger Force is so terribly silly. The official reaction of "it's not funny" is so ridiculous that it is, of course, funny

The funniest thing is they did this campaign in NYC and DC-- both cities which have had terrorist attacks-- and no one blinked an eye.

Poor Boston, they don't have Mitt Romney anymore to blame for everything that goes wrong.

And we can't have a democrat being blamed for things now, can we. Especially an African-American, that'd be wrong!

As I understand it, the punks picked some good spots to put these things; sullivan sq., on the longfellow bridge, harvard bridge too I think, a couple of other places that one typically thinks of when they think about kicking Boston's ass. Mind you I haven't seen what they looked like, but some weird objects just showing up at semi-strategic points like that warrants some suspicion. That or the mooninite (whatever they're called) giving the cops the finger just made them mad enough they called in the bomb squad to blow it up. Real Boston hospitality, y'know?
