Of those who are reading this now, who is planning on attending Big Apple Con and who will be attending the MoCCA Art Festival? On which day(s) do you plan to go?

The MoCCA show is friendlier, slightly cheaper and will feature R Stevens making custom T-shirts ( Read more... )

It's still set to run at DexCon 10, but they haven't posted the schedule yet. :(

They claim it's so they can only post the final version of the schedule and not constantly revise it like other conventions do, thus preventing confusion ...

Ah, hell, BAC(on) is on the same days? Fuckers... I'm at MoCCA and we'll get crushed, won't we? Dammit! Anyway, if you plan on showing sunday, wanna help the Lulu booth for an hour or so?

Ultimately, I think BAC will occupy some of the less savory comic fans and make MoCCA Fest a classier (and better smelling) event. Granted, yes, it's less money to be made by MoCCA and its guests, but I hope the event will be more enjoyable in general. The Puck Building is a beautiful space, but it really isn't built to hold the kind of crowds that have shown up to MoCCA Fest the past couple of years.

That said, it looks like I'll be at MoCCA Fest. I'll be getting my Vampire fix at the Dark Ages game that evening anyway. If it's not opressively hot, I may even show up to the event in full garb. Unfortunately, I'm not free to attend on Sunday.

I think I'll be at MOCCA both days, and Big Apple Saturday (before some other jerk steals all my John Stanley back issues).
