Camicia update

After putting some thought into the matter, I decided I wanted faux blackwork embroidery on my camicia.  At present, since my embroidery skills are sadly very dusty, I opted to use the fancy stitches available on my Kenmore sewing machine.

I loaded up some black thread, ran out a full bobbin, then grabbed a piece of cotton to test the stitches on.  ( Read more... )

I also use my old Kenmore workhorse for almost everything. It doesn't have nearly the variety of stitches that it sounds like yours does, but I used one of the stretch stitches as faux blackwork, some eons ago.

I'd love to see your results.

Pictures forthcoming once I put some new batteries in my old dinosaur of a digicam. That thing goes through battery juice like nothing else I own!
