I was just informed by my parents that if, by some miracle, I got into to AMDA, they wouldn't help me out at all financially. I'd have to find my own way to pay for it. Their reasoning? Broadway is NOT a career.

How's that for a "supportive family unit"?

well that sucks... the least they could do is offer to help... broadway is to a career for some people!

ehh thats lame...take a year off, sing, make some money, and get ready...it'll be tough in nyc anyway?
