Ultraman has, in some form or another, been on the air almost continously for nearly forty years. Each episode has its own giant rubber-suited monster, and when you think about it that's pretty impressive. If not for Ultraman, there would be no Kamen Rider, Power Rangers, or pretty much anything Kaiju outside of Godzilla and Gamera.

Now that you mention it, I totally see the Power Rangers monsters as descendants of these monsters. Now those were some bad, b-movie quality (and thus, great) monsters!

Good to know what inspired them :)

The chicken critter reminds me of a monster from an M. Night movie. Either The Village or Lady in the Water; perhaps a blend of them.
