I could probably smuggle a pizza in later tonight, if you really want some-- we can have a study dinner, and maybe you can finally just tell me what exactly you have planned for my birthday? I'm starting to get nervous here.

Pizza is a mutually beneficial proposition. Don't think this means I can or will bring you whatever you want. I still want Dr. Pierce to have some respect for me.

Applied physics--have a lab exam next week and I need to go over my most recent lab reports. So, I'm sure you'll be a great help.

It's not that...it just seems like you're making an awful big deal about of it and... I'm just not used to it. But, yes, I think knowing would at least give me a heads up as to how embarrassed I should feel about you taking so much trouble...
