I Prefer My Outrageous Comic Book Plots Stay in Comics, Okay?

Here's a real life Purity Singer, a la X-Factor Heart of Ice.

Currently words cannot express my utter revulsion.  I'm sure I'll think of some later.

Let us all pray for them to find the true Christ.

That's good for the "calming down" part. Doesn't satisfy the "desire to kick ass, take names, and call Child Protective Services" part.

A similar feeling overcomes me regarding South Africa and Sierra Leone's horrific violence against women & children.

That is horrific. The cheering makes it even more horrific.

OH GOD WHAT. Just when I think people can't get worse... they start teaching a whole new innocent generation to be terrible people just like them. Fuck :(

I have forced myself to not watch this, as I know it will just make me feel violently ill.

Brainwashing children to hate really is a form of abuse. One so young can't even really comprehend what he's saying, but it clearly makes the adults happy and as he grows older, he'll become indoctrinated into a culture of hatred. It makes me incredibly sad for those children, as the few that escape really do seem shellshocked at the goodness and love of the world they were never taught about.

If there is a heaven, and those are the kinds of people populating it.....I want no part of it. I cannot imagine having to spend eternity among people so filled with hate and ugliness. And if being cruel and hateful was the price to pay to get into the Pearly Gates....I couldn't do it. I just cannot grasp how someone could stand living with so much poison in their heart.
