I've been able to capture a few fall color shots but none of them are making me very happy. I guess I felt more like messing around in PS then going out and getting a good typical landscape.

Indeed. I was going to title it Autumn Crab or something like that but I hate to influence the way people perceive things. It's just a mirrored and polar skewed image of a beautiful dead leaf.
Ah yes, my second thought after crab. I was tempted to put in something that either looked like crab eyes or human eyes but resisted messing with it any more than I did. I'm printing it up today and am curious what I will think of it in that format versus the electronic image.
I have a calendar I was pretty impressed with the Autumn pictures in when I got it, but now, when I compare it to the scenes my eyes have recently witnessed...it's rather hollow.
Photographically I think my brain has already put 'Autumn' in the same category with 'beautiful sunsets' which are to be enjoyed live and in color but not so much in only 2 dimensions. However... I often see other peoples close up of leaves and think... wow... that is pretty simple and beautiful... why didn't I do that?
