Any Recommendations - Anime/Manga

Feb 21, 2012 20:01

SO, I thought I'd post a separate entry if anyone wanted to recommend an anime to me. ALSO, if you just  like an anime, loved to hear your thoughts. Any I should stay clear of or anything like that would help too! By the way, I did not like Bleach...so...that's so far the only one I've actually tried other than Inuyasha ( Read more... )

random, vague, recommendation, help, fun, ramblings

Hmm Silly stuff... *rubs chin* Well Im not sure if you could find it on Netflix, but "Katekyo Hitman Reborn!" is a parody type fighting anime about the mob. It doesnt even take its self seriously, and gave me many laughs.

If you like magic and stuff Card Captor Sakura's a really cute one, if you dont mind it being more kiddy. Oh and you mentioned you like historical stuff. Try and find, Hakuouki Shinsengumi Kitan. Its a really sad one, but its got a lot of realy fun historical background of Japan in the warring ages.

Bleach was a bit repetitive, so I dont blame you for not liking it. I liked parts of it but felt they dragged it out waaaay too long.

I'll leave you with those for now. Haha

Oh, thank you so much! I actually like the cuter ones though...from what I've seen of little parts of things. I will definitely try Hakuouki Shinesengumi Kitan though! (hopefully I'll type it correctly!) I'd love to see this one, even though I rarely watch anything sad.

Thank you so much! I really appreciate it!

Your Very welcome. And I think you'll enjoy Card Captor Sakura. It has a very innocent refreshing feel.

Its very sad, but the art works beautiful, and the storylines deep. I hope you enjoy them both!

Thank you so much! Someone else mentioned it too and I hope to get the chance to see it. Amazing how interesting these all are, I know so little about anime all of these different ones, I'm so surprised how many there are! Thank you!

I'll probably love it if the art is beautiful and if the story is deep. Probably two of the most important things for me. I hope so too and thank you so much! If a random one pops in your head, feel free to share it with me. ^_^

Shoujo, shonen, and seinen all refer to the audience for which the anime/manga is intended. Shoujo is usually romantic in nature and is geared more toward teenage girls. Shojou is usual action packed adventure and deared toward teenage boys. Seinen is geared toward grown men and is usually more involved and kind of higher intellectual type stuff. Ouran would be shoujo, InuYasha is shonen, and Mushishi and Monster is seinen. I'm sure there are more subdivisions, these are just the common ones.

You're welcome dear :-)

Almost all of the anime I know were from my baby sister. She loves the Animax channel that I subscribe :-P

To be honest there are only 3 of my all times fav anime. They are, Sailormoon ( YAY), Inuyasha and last but not least 'Honey and Clover'

:-) I hope you find a great anime from the list.

Yes! I have so many to watch I am so excited to get started!

Same with my brother, I don't want to watch most of his though, he likes horror and...I'm a sissy. ^_^

OH, I know I will! I've found a few that I'll actually start right away! Thank you so much for all your suggestions!

Since you like Inuyasha, the best recommendation I can give is Fushigi Yugi. It's very similar.
I saw that you enjoy cuter series; if I was on a computer I could give you details.
But, there's Skip Beat, Nana, and Honey and Clover. :D

Awesome! I'll type these in my list! Thank you so much and it's okay. I think I'll just need to take a day and do some research for all of these and pick one to start with. Thank you so much for your suggestions! Fushigi Yugi is one that I have heard before so I may try that first out of these. Thank you!
