Seriously?

Okay, so...

I haven't really finished the Harry Potter books, mainly because I was so depressed after reading one of them; I sort of dropped into this gloomy mood...

In fact, I've been painting (depressing) pictures, which really need a better spot than leaning against my walls...

Since I never paint or...really draw unless I am a bit depressed, which ( Read more... )

I do the same thing with Bleach. There's so many freakin' characters and so much filler that I've all but given up on it, and I stick the fan fiction instead. It's steamier anyways lol

That definitely was one of the reasons why I didn't want to get into Bleach, and despite watching the first few episodes, I've heard that there is just too many fillers...*sighs*

and I stick the fan fiction instead. It's steamier anyways lol Very true. ;)

[Hugs] Aw, I had no idea you were feeling down. :(. I'm happy to hear that fanfiction within the Harry Potter fandom is lifting your spirits ( ... )

I was depressed after reading the Fifth, but I watched the movie for the Half Blood Prince book, so I know a few spoilers there. Fortunately though, I am not much of a movie person and I have to say that I had no idea what was going on in most of the books. So it was extra special for me. But I'll definitely finish reading them...I don't think it's even possible. *Sighs*

Two of my brothers had read them ahead of me, so they are a bit impatient for me to finally finish the other books. ^_^

I also googled what happened to Snape...*Blushes* So I sort of did it myself too...

But there are some really good slash harry potter fics. One in particular I had an internal argument over in my head as to why I like it, but since in the story one of the male characters turn into a girl, I figured that was why I was even reading the pairing (snickers). Harry and Draco pairings: I have to admit...I haven't read any. I didn't really think of reading them, but one of the people I found that writes Snarry has a slash!drabble with Harry/Draco as well ( ... )

Glad you found a place you feel comfortable. I have read each of the Potter books once and watched the movies more times that I can count.

I have a question about ffnet. I cannot add to any stories. When I go to my stories and push edit, I get Fanfiction.net Error Code 2. I was wondering how long it took ffnet to correct your problem.

My problem? Meaning the problem with my profile? Well...technically it took them nearly three weeks to fix the border, but that was also a rare problem and I could still view stories and log-in. It was just my profile page that was completely messed up. I also ended up sending them between four or five emails…

I actually had the same issue as you, the Error Code 2 thing, and after I emailed them, it probably took 2-4 hours for them to fix it. At least...that's what I'm guessing. Since it's going around, I would guess you wouldn't have to wait three weeks. ^_^ If you've already emailed them...well…it will probably take no less than two days, and if it takes longer, email them again until they fix it. But I'm guessing they'll probably be able to help within a few hours. ^_^

That's one thing I truly hate about FFNet, they aren't exactly that reliable when it comes to errors and problems, even when you report them. *Shakes head*

I hope that helps somewhat. It really shouldn't take too long though to fix. ^_^

I, too, have read all the Harry Potter books and seen all the movies, too. However, since I am an avid reader, I enjoy the books to a greater extent than the movies. If you enjoy reading children's fantasy fiction, you should really read 'The Amulet of Samarkand' by Jonathan Stroud. It's such an entrancing read. It's the first book in the Bartemaeus Trilogy.

OMG Ricki, you paint? Very nice. Do you post your work on DeviantArt.com?

To be honest with you, I still haven't read the last two books. I hate reading about people dying and perhaps that's a bit strange since I love writing tragedy, but I just...can't stand to read anyone else dying. I am exactly the same way. It's a bit frustrating for my siblings when I refuse to watch the next movie when I haven't read the book, but I'm sure I'll be dragged into watching DH Part 2. ^_ ( ... )

No worries, Ricki. I hope you enjoy reading it. Let me know what you think when you do. I, too, love children's fantasy books. They're such a refreshing change from the usual predictable adult fiction.

Actually, I forgot that you mentioned on ff.net that you have a DeviantArt account. I have an account too but I only collect, I don't post anything. I do draw, however, but I guess I just don't have the guts to post. :'(

I have read some Christian fantasy, and it never really clicked with me. So the children's fantasy books are usually FAR better than any fantasy I've read. ^_^ It's definitely refreshing and Harry Potter is like a league of its own. I'll definitely tell you what I think about it! I read the first few pages on Amazon, and was already impressed with the style of the writing.

That's what I do too! Collecting is fun though; especially when you find those people that you can stalk their art. I'm the same way, but you should! I'd love to see them! What type of drawings do you do? *hugs*

Aw thanks ricki! Now you've given me motivation to post my art online! I mostly do sketching. Some of my art I've copied from magazines or billboards and some I've modified. So for example, I'll use the model's body but put my own designs on her/him. I'm trying really hard to draw Sesshomaru from Inuyasha but some parts of him I find quite challenging like his boa.

I've been trying to sketch Rin in black and white and I can't get her jawline right. So she ends up looking a bit like Kagome :(

So now I'm working on drawing an older Rin and it's very challenging because we don't know how she'll look when she's older...but based on other artist's renditions of an older Rin, I guess I'll have to throw in some creativity of my own too...

You mostly write Sesshmom fics right? I'd love to draw a piece for you but I apologize in advance if it'll look like a five year old drew it. *_*

That's great! You need to send me a link to your profile so I can add you! I actually only do painting and...drawing random stuff. That's awesome though! I can't do anything like that, and you totally need to send me a link to your art!

She does look like a younger version of Kagome though, they might have some differences, but my brother says that all the girls on Inuyasha look like each other. I totally agree with you! At least though that gives you some artistic creativity. That's one reason why I love Sess/Rin and Sesshmom/Inupapa, you don't really know how they acted around each other or their personalities really, but it gives you the chance to explore that. I can't wait to see it!

I write both actually, but I've lately been really inspired to write Sesshmom more. ^_^ LOL, I'm sure it will be great! But if you draw me a piece, I'd be delighted to write you a story! Any couple from Inuyasha! :) Thank you so much! *hugs* It's really awesome of you.
