I'm a little disappointed that Mitt Romney has bailed out so soon after the Super Tuesday drubbing he took at the hands of the Republican front-runner, John McCain. With any luck, Mike Huckabee will stick around long enough to make that party look just as confused as the Democrats.

I was talking about the US political scene with my boss (we're both Canadian lefties), and we concluded that McCain leading is a mixed blessing. He isn't very conservative compared to his competition, yet that doesn't make him as scary so he might actually win against the Democrat. And we observed that our right-wing prime minster seems to have disappeared from the public eye... which is largely irrelevant to the rest of this comment.
