B and I finished watching classic Doctor Who's Colony in SpaceI think I've finally learned to look past the ridiculous special effects of these old doctor stories and enjoy them based on the quality of the narrative and the character. You guys are doing well to have gotten through Colony in Space, I'd rank it one of the worst of the 3rd-Doctor stories (on par with The Monster of Peladon), mainly due to it being more than a bit dull.

Funny that you like the 3rd-Doctor's assertiveness while other people find him to be too arrogant. Although a lot of people miss that almost all of the Doctors can tend to be arrogrant at times (other than the 5th).
