Did you have both eyes done at the same time? How much did it cost? I've thinking about this for a long time but I'm a bit worried about having to wear protective contacts as I have dry eyes.

I hope your eyes fully recover very soon.

Yeah, I had both done at the same time. It should have cost me around £4000, but I had substantial discounts - both due to Tobin working for Sainsbury's (good timing as he leftthis week) and because I paid upfront. The reason it cost £4k is because I had wavefront and stuff. It's potentially a lot cheaper - my prescription is high and I have some special issues. The most expensive it could have been was £4.5k but that's very much the top top end.

The protective contacts are frustrating, as I have occasionally sensitive/dry eyes too, but you'll be given so many wet eye drops that you'll be able to control it.

Also if you have LASIK (unlike me with LASEK) it'll be 24 hours with the contacts max, I believe.

Ask more questions, I've done my research!

Excellent and thank you.

I am naturally shortsighted but now I'm older l have difficulty seeing things close up as well. I also have astigmatism in one eye.

I had a feeling that I would need something called combined LASEK - does that sound right to you?
