Maybe your Father should look into building Environmental proof building? (Building on stilts and rat proof for Brum?) :)
Also. Any time now they will finish devolving effective solar panels. So a lot of moola fitting those. :) Hopefully Government Funded (epically as they will probably own the banks anyway)
I'll be so annoyed if, with all the potentially 'interesting' ways for the world to end - we end up just running out of money :)
Is it just a coincidence that the 'global meltdown' started JUST after the LHC was turned on?
But don't worry. I have a feeling it will all be okay. Hugs
From a design perspective Dad knows his stuff about environmental proofing, it's quite interesting.
Our house extension in 1993 included something like triple the then recommended level of insulation in the room and new walls. Accordingly our heating bill has never been high since getting the gas boiler at the same time, even with my "thin-blooded" parents (they can't cope with the cold thanks to South Africa!)
Which is cool - except what was triple insulation then is barely minimum for new-builds now. We've just kept adding it!
