14 years living in this place, and I have yet to have a single trick-or-treater come to my door. I guess the kids don't want to bother with a block of garden apartments. Whatever, less work for me.

I didn't even bother to buy candy this year. I sat around undressed and had a lazy day all day.

Sometimes, it's best to just have the candy for yourselves.

no candy here either

too isolated for visitors
20 years ago when nearest neighbor had kids they would come
they were like family
but now they have kids but we never see them

It doesn't seem like many people around here do it at all. We are on a busy road and in years past I would have the lights on and only get a few rings. HCD is opposed to the whole idea so it's been quite a while since we had anything to do with it.

I always go out on Halloween anyway. One year I got a nasty anonymous e mail from somebody who apparently thought I owed the neighbors' kids and was trying to guilt trip me for going out. Most of my neighbors' kids are bratty and I don't owe them anything.

Nobody has ever come to our door either.
