That's a shame that your parents don't support it, but perhaps you could offer to cook one meal a week for them or something? That way you'd get some decent practice and you could ease yourself in gently :) Oh, and here's a recipe for vegan cookies that doesn't really require any "specialist" ingredients that you don't already have in your kitchen!

Hey you!

I got a package in the mail today. You guessed pretty well what I'd like!

I love zines and candy and I was just lamenting about how I didn't yet have this year's slingshot! My friend Justin drew the front cover of the large version and the back cover of the small version. It was the best birthday present I got this year, and weirdly enough, I got it on chad's birthday! (today!) All of the zines are very relevant to my interests too!

I am going to craft a package to send back, it might take a bit as I get everything together. I have some excellent ideas. Anyway, thank you so much for putting together such an awesome gift. I appreciate it a lot.

Haha yes! When I last went to London, I was determined to sample vegan cupcakes but couldn't find any! I emailed Hummingbird and although they were very friendly, they told me that there wasn't anything there that I could eat. Wahhhh!
