Thanks! Cinnamon/spiced buns are so much fun to make :D And I met the kitten tonight and he is ADORABLE - he fights with you a lot but because he's only little it doesn't hurt. I LOVE HIM :D I"ll take pictures next time!
I doubled the flax eggs, replaced banana with chopped fresh date, poured in about 2T agave nectar instead of sugar and added a little more baking soda. Then I just stirred in rice milk and brown rice flour until it seemed like a good consistency.
I saw Darjeeling Limited today, and it made me want to move to France. Already, upon arriving home, I've decided against that for now... but it was a dreamy moment!
Haha, I like it too :D I've bookmarked that cookie recipe ready for the next time I feel like I've gone too crazy on the sugar, thank you! I only found out recently that dates are delicious, so your substitution sounds great to me! As for moving to France, if it were ever to happen, that would be awesome. It'd be lovely to have another vegan to hang out with over there!
Weird, I didn't get an LJ notification for either of your comments! :(
The recipe I usually follow is from Vegan Cupcakes Take Over The World (let me know if you want me to type it up!), and I learned how to frost cupcakes here: http://www.wilton.com/technique/1M-Swirl :)
I always eat the extra icing out of the bowl!!! Thats awful about the kitten - I dread to think what would have happened if a car came along but glad it got saved!! :)
Hehe, it's all part of the fun! And the kitten is adorable - he's a little shitbag and he fights a lot, but he's just excited and playful. Plus, because he's so little it doesn't actually hurt at all and so I end up sitting there getting attacked and just going "AWWWW!!!!" It'll be less cute when he's older and has some power behind those claws, I'm sure :P
