For the record, I'm cursed. But I'm not letting it get me down...

So, I don't recall how much I have or haven't mentioned this here, but I'm making my friend R's wedding dress. Originally she promised me we'd have like a year to work on it, then her long engagement went short. (It's the new fashion? Mini skirts and short engagements, they're always in, ya know?). And then I had to have surgery... and again.

So ( Read more... )

bitch bitch bitch, some days i wonder about the universe, bad reality no doughnut, stitch by stitch, who cares

the ranting made you feel better didn't it? *grin* well it made me feel better....and that counts!

my sister had the most fun with her wedding dress. turns out she was pregnant (with her second child...and yes the first one was the reason for getting married). she managed to hide it but in that last week before the wedding she really popped out. and there was this amazing scene at the wedding store where she had to explain to my mother why the dress suddenly didn't fit. it was awesome. for a day i was te favourite child. but as my sister was giving my mother another grand baby it didn't last long. every photo of her is from the back or with a floral arrangement in the front. *hehe*

and i agree...medical personal should not be allowed to use the internet to look shit up. because if they are then they so don't deserve those big pay checks.

(hope your having a nice day)

Well I'm delighted that ranting made you feel better. It did make me feel better too. I try really hard to survive the crappy stuff by seeing it from the most humorous perspective I can. It seems to make it more livable.

Oh no! That sounds like a family incident worthy of a comedy movie. Thankfully, even if that happened in this case, which it's highly unlikely to, the wedding is only 2 months away, so it wouldn't interfere with fit yet.

Doctors, if they're going to research on the web, should not say "the web" they should say "online medical journals" or just "medical journals". It's just more reassuring that way. I don't mind them looking stuff up, but dude, if it's THAT unfamiliar to you, even as a doctor, you should consult with a specialist.

i didn't even get to the good bits that made the wedding truely movie channel worthy. there was the bit where my mum hated my hair and made me go and have it done again. on the day. with like an hour to spare. or when my sister stared a fued with my dad's only sister (on going these 10 long years) or ...there were so many things! i vowed to elope from that day onwards.

i may have been the only one laughing by the end of the day *grin*

docs online: i have my doubts about just about everything said online...so i have no idea why a doc would trust it. my specialist uses online sources but he TELLS me exactly where from. but the man is a genius and a complete whack job...so i trust him. he use to be an airforce pilot...before he decided to study medicine...man has the best stories.

Hey you! I'd be surprised if you knew how to bribe Lady Fate, given that she's been mean to you the past couple of whiles too. We need to work on our Fate bribes, clearly. I miss getting to chat with you! If you have some online time in the near future, I totally need someone to gab about the Tonyfic too (I need chatty incentive to write the next ten or so chapters :-D). How you been hanging in?
