Thank you to each and every person who has read and commented thus far! I'm having a great time reading all your comments and they've really helped to distract me from my impending surgery on Monday. I'm posting this early because tomorrow is do the chores so I'm ready for post surgery day (so much laundry to do, oh my!).

Hello momentarily de-cloaked lurker. :-D Thank you very much for commenting and saying such nice things, I truly appreciate it. I love knowing that people are reading and enjoying my story. Were you sent by the link over on Kath's journal? She is always metaphorically bopping me about the head for not promoting my writing properly. I'm just too shy online most of the time to be a self promoter.

Friending to follow is great! I have a totally open friending policy. Friend, de friend, do whatever works for you. After this recent wave of friending to follow the story, I keep half expecting for someone to stop by my other about life posts and tell me that I'm talking too much and I should get back to writing. :-D

Yes, I found it through Kath's journal. I follow several of her stories too. She is right. You should post to some of the NCIS coms.

Glad you like my icon. Do you watch Doctor Who? Jack/Rose is a rare pairing, but they are so cute together, I just can't help but adore them.

I ADORE Dr. Who. I adore Jack. And I quite like Rose, though perhaps not quite as much. As a character I love Donna, but as a person I'd like to meet... perhaps not Donnna. :-D I'm warming up to Amy and Rory. Jack has such possibilities, they don't really even cover enough of them in Torchwood. I love that it's so easy to write fan fic of Jack.

I'm sure Kath will get me to post on the coms eventually. Probably when story arc one is finished and up. This whole story is at least two arcs, and could be three if I get ambitious. So we shall see how that turns out.

Thank you! Next update will probably be Friday or Saturday, I'd hate to commit to sooner and not be able to make it due to how I feel after surgery. Thank you also for the good thoughts on my surgery.

Total lurker but after the lurker note, I had to temporairly creep out of the shadows of Lurkerdom to let you know I love this fic a whole bunch. :)

Thank you! And thank you so much for de-lurking to say so! I really really appreciate it. :-D I know how much effort it takes to creep out of Lurkerdom. (And now I have some sort of odd visual of what Lurkerdom, in the kingdom of Lurkdonia, would look like, something with huge mountains that have to be traversed to get anywhere...) I'm glad to hear the story is working for you. Hopefully you'll enjoy the introduction of Tony's dad in the next chapter.

i am really enjoying this story. i found you thru comments and i must say that you are too talented to be found that way! even an upload to an archive when you are done? maybe?

(i am a little shy myself...decades of not very supportive online people makes me not really want to contribute BUT some of the best fiction these days seems to be fanfic IMHO)

firstly, i hope everything is well with you. Good call on banning yourself....never use the internet while under the influence i say!

upon relfection i think your way of publishing is best. if people want to read your stories then they will. very Zen.

PS...i hate WIPS...i have like 100's bookmarked and waiting but then isn't that why we watch soap operas *grin* all that anticipation of not knowing. so it is really just a love hate thing. i don't mind waiting...WIP away!

Surgery went rather well indeed. And self banning didn't work quite as well, but I think I managed to not shame myself with my doped up publishing. I was actually really surprised at how fairly normal I felt even on the painkillers. And not in that "I feel normal therefore I must be" but rather I think I was actually just tired more than anything else.

Now if I'd tried to write a chapter or anything while on the drugs, I'm pretty sure I would have written something involving so many spelling and grammar mistakes that my beta would have thrown up her hands in terror, but short stuff I seem to be doin' okay at.

Well, seeing as you say you hate WIP, I'm very flattered that mine has met your bookmarking standards. :-D
