So I finally decided to this this year, after seeing a few friends doing it in the past and i'll admit i'm pretty excited. I've really been feeling the need to engage my mind and make it work and use my talents, though as usual i'm a bit afraid. i can make some great descriptions, but i always feel like i fail in the interesting plot department. i

Hmm, I have a friend who did this year before last, and potentially last year as well. It was fabulous to read her terrible story. Maybe I'll spend the next month thinking about it and attempt it this year.

Yeah, just write.

I got about 25,000 words last year, but it was a big learning experience. You get better at it as you go.

I have some ideas about what I want to write about this year, but I suspect that my characters will run away with the plot. That's what happened last year around 10,000 words.
