This is one thing those dialect map nerds failed to investigate. I think I use hair tie, hair binder and hair thingy about equally, but ponytail holder is also perfectly acceptable.
Also, I think yours is the only purse I know which rivals Martha's purse in terms of useful contents. I'm impressed! Mine has 49 lbs of coins and 17 earrings in it, and that's about it.
The purse was a Christmas present and in true grandma fashion she filled it with other, smaller gifts.
True facts: the only time I've ever used that flashlight was when the copier at work got massively jammed and we were peering into the bowels trying to find where the paper was stuck.
Your purse is so neat and organised! I would almost be too embarrassed to post mine at the moment, I have so much random crap in there, heh. I am rly enjoying everyone doing this meme, though.

Haha, the only reason it looks so neat is that I left all the accumulated paper detritus out of the picture and threw out the dozen or so used tissues.
