*squee* A girl just came to look at the flat (we have a free bed right now, in my room in fact...) and she's from Vancouver! And she decided to move in! Yay. :) I know, I'm supposed to be meeting people from other cultures around the world and learning from them, and I am doing that and I WANT to do that, but... it's still nice to meet someone from ( Read more... )

Another Vancouverite? Neat! Though ... she's not my ex-roomie, is she? Because she's over there right now and I probably wouldn't advise sharing with her...

If it makes you feel any better with your internet issues, I finally got internet back on Friday, updated some software, and broke my computer. It won't go past the first start-up screen, and now it's in the shop. Waaah. :(

Oh good. ^^

Thanks for the vibes. I was twitching near the end, but got it back this afternoon, for only $80. What a deal. XD At least it seems to be easier to fix Macs, and I'm 99.9% sure I know what set it off, so I'm not repeating that mistake again. Also, as a bonus, they found me half a GB of extra hard drive space. Woot!

Phew, I'm glad it worked out okay! Tis nerve-wracking, I know... especially if there's fear over losing one's files. o.o That's what I was most worried about, so now I try to back-up regularly... at the least, all my old old files are backed up, because I'd hate to lose those (all my old shitty fics from high school... I know I know, but I can't help it. ^^ Nostalgia, if nothing else).
