Awww I do so hate angst. I originally saw this as having a happier ending, with Kavanagh deciding to come back (as we know he does) but I just wrote that and thought it would be a good (if slightly evil) place to end.

I set the fic after Siege III, and we know he comes back after that, but no unfortunately we don't see him in series 3, nor are we likely too. *sad face*
