C6DVD card!
Okay, so - my C6DVD card! It's so amazing! I was squeeing as quietly as possible in my room last night after midnight, trying not to wake up my cousin. I love it so much, thank you secret Valentine! The card itself is just perfect - I had so much trouble trying to find an appropriate card, and you found the best card ever! I am impressed. :)
First up, the front of the envelope:
Aww, Fraser up in Inuvik, and Ray down in Chicago - but no worries, it's got a happy ending!

TURTLE! GUYS IT'S A TURTLE! So perfect, see? And it's got multiple layers of meaning! Because first, you know, it's a turtle. For Ray. :) And second, it's Ray's persistence in working to get his residency for Canada - which, awww...

Dear Ray,
Although in past years I have often decried the co-opting of Valentin'es day (and other religious holidays) by the greeting card and retail sales industries, I find myself this year quite unwilling to let the day pass without acknowledgement. Perhaps the reason for this is that you and I must spend it apart.
I am used to being alone on special occasions; until now I have given it barely a thorught. However, since you walked into my life (or, more accurately, since you walked into Ray Vecchio's life, and, by extension, became part of mine), I have found it increasingly difficult to be apart from you. Even the exhilarating news that you application for residency in Canada has been approved and you will be returning to me within a fortnight has not lessened how very much I miss you.
This card, and the little turtle I'm enclosing, is representative of how very proud of you I am - proud of your unwavering determination to secure employment in Canada as well as to fulfill the requirements necessary to permanent residency status. The fact that you do this for no other reason than a desire to make your life with me is both overwhelming and delightful. As are you, Ray.
As an aside, Diefenbaker would like me to remind you of a promise you made to him regarding - and I quote "onion rings, chili dogs, and Krispy Kreme". While I do wish you wouldn't indugle him so much, I am elated that you and he have such a good relationship (even if it is partially based on junk food).
Wel, Ray, I must close and return to work. I hope you enjoy your little turtle, and that you will forgive me for being so self-indulgant. Until you are back and home for good, I remain,

Okay, so the card itself. It's just so Fraser! Love how he normally 'decries the co-opting of Valentine's Day' (lol of course he would) but he's making an exception this year because of Ray. And oh Fraser, breaking my heart as always when you say that you're used to being alone on speical occasions. ;_; But how you have Ray in your life! And lol at Ray walking into Ray Vecchio's life and, by extension, becoming part of Fraser's. And he said 'fortnight'! Love it. And Ray is 'overwhelming and delightful'! Yes he is! So sweet and perfect.
LOL at Dief asking for junk food - of course he would, and of course Fraser can somehow translate exactly what he wants.
And awww at Fraser asking Ray to forgive him for being self-indulgant. Oh Fraser, you make me want to give you a giant hug and make up for all the loneliness in your life. :(
And one of my favourite parts - how he writes the professional 'Benton Fraser, RCMP' then crosses it out and signs in Benton. Oh Ben. <3
OH and I almost forgot, one of my other favourite parts - 'you will be returning to me within a fortnight'. Still breaking my heart there, Ben, with your inability to admit to any kind of selfish desire.
To conclude: I LOVE IT. It's so sweet and romantic and perfect and has that little touch of Fraser-sadness that makes it just that much more awesome that he now has Ray and is happy and not alone anymore. :)
