I have just been at the hustings for the Holyrood elections next month. What with the constituency (Edinburgh N & Leith) and the list (Lothian), there were nine candidates (ten on the ballot, but Solidarity didn't show up), frankly too many to stay interested in the question. Several of the candidates were the same as at the Westminster election

I have Andy Wightman's book The Poor Had No Lawyers. He's second on the Green's list.

Alison Johnstone, current Green MSP for the Lothians is the first on the list. She's also standing in Edinburgh Central. First Green constituency candidate.

I know the third Green list candidate, Lorna Slater, through drama.

The Lothian list will be interesting after the death of Margot McDonald.
