Doors Open.

Ian Rankin's book "Doors Open" starts in an auction room, and that was where I started my exploration of buildings in Edinburgh's Doors Open weekend: Lyon & Turnbull. Drumsheugh Baths sounds v interesting, do people still use the trapeze etc.? I guess that's against elfnsafety too :/

Love St Bernard's well, the dome is gorgeous.

I wasn't very articulate about the baths. They were designed to resemble a Turkish baths, with lots of Moghul influence.

The swings and trapezes are still used. The pool was recently refurbished.

The main reason for not allowing photography was that the pool was in use. I did think about photographing some architectural details, but it seemed odd without the context of the pool!
