Just went to see the newest Star Wars movie.

Holy god, it makes me long for Mark Hamill and makes him look like a good actor. And that? Is terrifying. It looks like a toy company commercial from start to finish. The new SW movies give me hives. For that matter, the newly-edited old SW movies give me hives. So, in conclusion, Lucas sucks.

I laughed out loud in the cinema when I went to see it. What a load of drivel. And this after being a fan of Star Wars since the original film came out in the seventies.

So many things I could say about it to slag it off - but I will confine myself to Padme. Can we say personality transplant? Swooning, idiotic pregnant woman. What happened to the courageous, principled diplomat who was also good in a fight? I think that is what killed her off - she lost the will to live once they made her into a complete idiot!

Don't think you are :-) Hi btw! (before I opened up LJ - I thought I wonder if there's any sign of Rhyo!)

Saw SW1 on DVD - and got SW2 as a christmas pressie ummm two years ago - has stayed in the unwatched DVD pile since then. Some friends of ours suggested watching it and then going to see it at the cinema - I left Rich to explain to them that we didn't want to waste our precious cinema opportunities on watching *rubbish*. (coward that I am!)

Can't wait for the LWW and hmm maybe Serenity gives me the excuse to get the boxed firefly set after all :-) Of course I'm buying it for the whole series not really just for the one episode :-)

Yesterday I watched the brunch and autograph line segments of the CascadeCon DVDs. I was all asquee! because there you were, you honorary Brit, you, along with fingers, fluterbev, rhianne, xasphie, etc.
And I want to see a duel between Yoda and the Vicious Rabbit. Because that's the kind of person I am.
