That was a long few days

Dog-sitting is done, and I'm going to miss the little furballs. I felt bad leaving them because I know they need the attention their owner simply doesn't have time to give. She has two young girls, eight and six, and all I could think about was that the dogs would be placed in their cage in the morning when she went to work, taken out for a few ( Read more... )

Haha, yes. Continuing with roommate's dog stories, I get very annoyed when she lets him get on the couch with us and he stinks. Ugh.

Yikes, I can't imagine losing that much space. Pack very carefully in the new storage unit? Good luck!

Job hunting SUCKS. The end. It's not you. It's capitalism. :P

Our family dog Bosco was a Lab and a big guy, and he still wanted to cuddle. But he was never as stinky as the little dogs seem to get.

We're going from 1200+ square feet to 1080. We don't really use the dining room we have now, so losing that won't be a big deal. But we're also doubling the rent, if you can believe it. It's all about proximity to my girlfriend's work. She's going to be 5 minutes away. She could walk if she wanted to. And she's paying the rent. We'll figure it out. Getting rid of stuff is soul-cleansing.

Haha, I'm a bit of a pack-rat, so getting rid of stuff, even if I haven't used it in years feel more like giving away part of my soul. And then with clothes, all I can think about is how much money I spent on it, even if I never wear it/have outgrown it. So, you're a better person than I! I very concerned for my next move given I won't have much money to travel cross-country like I hope to. I won't be able to fit everything in my car this time like I did going to grad school!

It'll definitely be nice for her to walk to work! Except in winter, of course.lol

Little dogs do tend to be stinkier. I had a lovely little terrier X and I was always having to bathe him.

Good luck with the move, and you never know, this might turn up something for you. I am still keeping my fingers crossed that you get a good job soon.
Hugs and sending some good thoughts in your direction.
