When I talked my girlfriend into buying an iPad Mini, I had no idea she would barely be using it because I started playing The Sims on it

I am a little scared to start Sims because I want to put Sherlock and John together in a house, and then I'm scared I won't ever leave my iPad ever again to do anything.
This is what I am doing now. It gives me the weirdest happiness to have my fandoms all squished together and the characters doing nice comfortable things instead of angsty things!
I protect myself from the infinite timesuck that is The Sims by only having The Sims 2 (and all its expansion packs) for Windows. This means that in order to play it I have to reboot the iMac into Bootcamp, which involves effort and not needing to do anything on the OS X side of things any time soon.
When I do go over to the dark side I can be there for days though.
The difference in Freeplay from other Sims games, as I understand it, is that because it's made for mobile you must complete live-time events. For example, to send my Sims to work I have to be awake and in the game to physically press the button and send them. There are also other timed events for the goals, one of which I'm waiting on now, which is to "Have a double shot of espresso on a Saturday morning."
Sweetie- I never did thank you for the Christmas Card and I have been crazy busy and not on LJ a whole lot. Do know that I have it taped to my front door where it will stay until the next Christmas season and I should have it together next year to be able to send you one.
Heh, Sims 4 is set to release soonish (heard reports that it will be the end of this year maybe, who knows) and maybe I'll get my feet wet with that one.
