...from what I've read about it, it's a depiction of a very whitebread world in which women are most definitely the Second Sex - good "little women" and such. (I know it's historically accurate; I just don't want to see it). I cannot watch a show in which everyone is white, straight and lives in a conventional fashion. (And I'm white, straight and somehwat conventional, but - damn - but it's boring to watch or read about).
