It's weird how much I am against the pervading fan opinions. I was totally Gaeta/Zarek because of what's happening to the fleet and what seems like the way they keep forgetting about the real people on those ships. Revolucion! Gaeta the martyr! Fight the dictatorship of Adama/Roslin!
Things are going to get worse before the series is over. I can do without the drunk Adama, too.
I can't stand Espenson from her Buffy days...sylvialouiseFebruary 23 2009, 00:53:40 UTC
...lots of bad comedy and overwrought shit...and I hate the fact that all these sucky ex-BtVS writers are out there stinking up otherwise good shows...BSG, Lost to name a couple.
Weak ep in general. Ellen lost her grandeur from the previous ep. Plus, she gave her blessing to Saul/Six which goes against her basic character and, like you said, Saul/Six had very inadequate set-up. Love? What love? (And I like both Saul and Six, but not together). Baltar has nothing to do but chew scenery and emote. No Sam to speak of and Kara is getting drunk far from Sam's side. Chief cold-shoulders Boomer. Lovely stuff (not). Sylvia

Ellen was the First of Five and she created the others to be more human in image, and Cavil complained about this. But then here we get her acting petty and jealous. The episode was really poor.
I also don't buy the whole Caprica-Six and Saul storyline. They're living together and it feels so contrived and corny.
What ever happened to her relationship with Baltar? All through his trial she was held prisoner yet she still said she loved him. They forgot about that.

I'd like to hear what you think about the ep regardless.
