When my alarm goes off at six to five, the sky is already lighter than it is dark.  Dawn wasn’t supposed to be for about half an hour yet but I had already missed the losing of the solid dark.  A thin band of pink light is already visible above the distant trees, and birds are already singing.

It was my birthday on Sunday, November 30th, and on my birthday my sister Hannah called on the phone to wish me a happy birthday...and to tell me...SHE'S HAVING A BABY!!!!!!!  EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
