ma that's great. however just letting you know, you need to have a license to look out for kids here in oz :-) ie you have to attend courses to know about regulations etc (you know what i mean about bureaucracy). governing bodies also make an assessment of your capabilities. parents often look for license. also if you are to earn money, you need to apply for an ABN.

i dont mean to burst your bubble about the childminding. only sharing helpful info with you as i know about it.

This is really not too different from School/Uni kids getting asked to babysit. Only, I kind of have a value add with craft classes. SO really wouldn't be too fussed with teh issues...however, as I am little miss OC...got my butt covered.

I have been a bicultural child support worker, camp cousellor and an ESL teacher here in OZ and I also have a relief job at the Black Mountain Community Childcare - as most things in Australia, experience is counted aside from formal quals. I am at least a level 2 in childcare accreditation. Could get better if I continue working with the kiddly winks.

ABN, check! From my work as a research consultant with Uncommon Knowledge. :) It's alright. I've got it. And another good thing? If you register this as a hobby, may even be eligible to be exempt from tax.
