I was flipping a half-dollar last night. Got 11 tails in a row before I stopped. I know its a statistical possibility. In fact, the coin is slightly heads-heavy, because the bust of Kennedy on the heads side adds slightly more mass than the seal on the tails side.
But it still freaks me out when I encounter that kind of statistical anomaly.

Also, I've pulled a dozen left socks out of the clean laundry before finding a right sock, even though there is the same number of each, and the odds of getting another left lock actually /decreases/ every time I take one out.
Weird.
