Getting Easier

She presumed it would get easier with time. It had to, she couldn't cope with this every year. Reasonably she knew that the tears would become fewer and the looks of anguish might become smiles.
But she wasn't there yet, and neither was Ron. She knew that because his face was buried in her hair and his tears were making her robes damp.
'He w...wouldn't want m...me crying... but I c...can't stop.'
'He'd understand, Ron.
'He'd call m...me an arse!'
She couldn't help but chuckle.
He stood up straight and looked at her, pleadingly.
'Tell me it gets better. Please.'
