Emotionally. It doesnt help that she has a bit of a crush on me, and the crush is completely not a good thing as she is in a relationship of two years.

That should nail it right there shouldn't it? She has a crush, but can't bear to hurt who she's with and feels owing to you in some way. She offers advice, despite her own destruction. A selfless act, as they call it.
