I went with my mum to see Matthew Bourne's Sleeping Beauty at the weekend. Yes, this is the Matthew Bourne who did the all-male Swan Lake. Eee! Bet it was amazing. :D I'd love to see a ballet live once. Think it would be fantastic. Not going to lie I'd love to see the Nutcracker performed by the Russian Ballet. :D

Sleeping Beauty sounds wonderful. Not having an orchestra is a little odd. However since it was done to spend more on the costumes and sets can understand it. Sounds like it was all out. :D Glad you had fun and enjoyed it.

Ballet is great fun and a lot easier to follow than, say, opera - less foreign language and more mime :) I've been to several now and enjoyed them all. I would recommend buying a programme cos it usually gives you a synopsis for each act, so if you do get a bit confused it'll let you know what's supposed to be going on
