The Morning After....
My neighbor's house, or what remains of it, looks even worse in the light of day. Truthfully-- it's gutted--and a total loss.
The investigators were there shortly after dawn this morning to make their notes, and begin work on their reports.

Simply terrible.
Whoops....I was thinking of your predictament rather than my neighbor's when I wrote the other comment.
He will pull through, I think. For one thing, he did tell us that he's got good homeowner's insurance.
I don't know what will be done about the house though. He might just decide to build a new house elsewhere rather than rebuild this one. He could simply sell the lot and leave it to the new owners to rebuild.
