I'd been wanting to make a vid featuring martial arts for a long time because martial arts had been such a big part of my life. When obsessive24 posted her Ong-Bak action vid Breathe, I got inspired to seek out other Muay Thai movies. Not long after, I found Beautiful Boxer, and I fell in love with Nong Toom's story. The Muay Thai was especially awesome because the filmmakers hired professional Thai kickboxers, including the lead actor. I decided I wanted to vid the movie, but the problem was finding a song that would allow me to showcase those cool Muay Thai moves, yet still be sensitive to Nong Toom's story. I searched for quite awhile before I found this song among a list of suggested music on Amazon. The song's a bit more pop than my usual fare, but it felt like such a perfect fit for this inspiring film.
