I haven't mentioned it here at all, but I'm in the process of...not a diet, more a lifestyle change. I'm not eating empty carbs or sugar as much as possible, and trying to exercise more. So far, I've lost nine pounds, and about an inch and a half on my waist. So...anyway, that has put me in an awkward wardrobe position as we head into spring/

I don't actually sew "normal clothes" most of the time. I find it boring and uninspiring. I prefer making historical costumes and beautiful corsets, but at the price of a drawstring skirt I actually like (, most run $50 or more, ugh!), I can make my own out of the fabric I like, ie, beautiful washed dupioni silk. Nothing against cotton, but I want something that can be both casual or dressy, as we usually have several events over the course of the summer to attend that are a bit more formal. Weddings, etc. It isn't as fun as making a gown, but I'm surprised at how much I'm enjoying it. :)
