My writerly thought on LKH's latest Anita Blake book, Bullet:

When your MC's [polyamorous] relationships have become so complicated, it takes you five chapters in the beginning of the book just to review all of the characters, and how they relate back to the MC - just in case you have any new readers

Hah. Sooooo glad I stopped reading those books when she acquired more lovers than brain cells.

Yes, be very glad. I have almost quit them several times, but as bad as they've gotten, I still care about some of the characters, and that's why I keep. reading. *sigh*

The last book was actually pretty darn good. Almost a return to the Anita of old. Right up until the cheat ending. Books and books of build up for this villain, and they get taken out by a freaking side character in less than a paragraph. WTFever.

I should just stop reading them. I know I should. *sigh*
