It was a fun and busy weekend. We had friends staying with us (yay!) who very graciously indulged my bread baking experiments (of course, they also got sent home with bread!) Friday night we pretty much just stayed up late talking

Dream Dinners is very cool! Do they have different packages for folks who live alone?
Hmm...even if they didn't, for things that are better not re-heated, one could buy some freezable corningware or something similar, and re-portion stuff either there or at home before it hits the freezer.
I also like that the staff cooks "overstock" food, so it doesn't go to waste.
the smallest package size is the three servings, however, you can portion it out however you like at the station when you're putting stuff together. For chicken meals, 3 servings seems to be three chicken breast, but not like the whole half of one you get in the meat dept at the grocery store, more like the portion you get pre-packaged at the grocery store, if that makes sense.
The other gal from work who also participated for the first time is single, and she said today she was able to get two lunches and a dinner off one three serving meal. i think if it were me, I'd probably either portion them out if I could, or if the meal isn't easily portion-able before cooking, I'd freeze some of the leftovers fro an easy heat-up-and-eat meal some night. I do that with some of our leftovers now, since Mark does not like eating the same thing back-to-back, usually.
For most things, I notice a significant (to me) quality difference between fresh and frozen; I'd want to freeze things only once. Also, smaller portions thaw faster.
I wonder if there's something like this in Milwaukee?
